Pet of the week

Meet Nitro! Nitro is approximately 3 years old. He gets along great with other dogs. He loves to run around and play with his best friend stella, as well as lay on the picnic table and get love from the volunteers. Nitro would make an awesome family dog. He is super relaxed and chill. Come visit this sweet boy!

For the past 12 months we have been spending $5K more than we are taking in. Some factors contributing to this are:

1. OPAS is no longer taking in animals from other parishes causing a huge increase in the number of stray dogs in our area.

2. Cost of dog food has almost doubled as well as gasoline and utilities

3. Owner surrenders have increased.  Pet owners can no longer afford  to feed or provide vet care.

We are seeking sustainable income in the form of monthly automatic donations.  Please go to our forms page and fill out an ACH form. No amount is too small.  All donations are tax deductible.

4 Paws Rescue, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of stray, abandoned, and neglected dogs of Lincoln Parish. We strive to end euthanasia by requiring all adopted animals to be spayed or neutered.

We provide community education strongly advocating spaying and neutering, heartworm prevention, and responsible pet ownership.

Our mission is to make sure our rescued animals are placed in loving and caring homes. Until that time we offer these precious creatures love, shelter, and care. We are here for them "until they all have a home". We are located at 290 Rodeo Road in Ruston, LA

Our New Dog Park

When the kids get bored, bring them to the dog park for some fun in the sun.  Bring your dog or rent a dog for $5.
Doggie pools and sprinklers.  Mom can sit in the shade and read or just relax.  Open 7 days 7am-7pm.

I found a stray dog, can you take it?

In most cases, we will happily take the dog. However, every situation is unique. Additionally, we need to consider our space and resources before we take in another animal. It's best to give us a call before bringing the dog to us.

How does the dog park work?

Our beautiful new dog park is open to the public every day from 7 am - 7 pm. The dog park entrance fee is only $5 per day and is located one entrance beyond our main entrance. You will see signs when you arrive.

What is the best way to donate?

We have a form called ACH that automatically drafts money from your account to our operating account.  Go to forms, fill it out and your monthly donation will be drafted on the 19th of every month.

What is our adoption process?

To adopt one of our dogs, you must first fill out an application. You can fill out one online or come to the rescue and fill out an application in person. From there, we will conduct an interview in person or over the phone.

How much do your adoptions cost?

Our adoption fee is $160. This includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, and heartworm prevention. You can pay by cash, check, or through Paypal.
